Physical Therapist, Weekend Per Diem, Adult/Med Surg Position

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in a Weekend Per Diem, Adult/Med Surg position at Women & Infants Providence. As a Physical Therapist, you will provide physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. You will practice in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team, educate patients, families, and others, and direct and supervise support personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patients' physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that reflect understanding of patients' age and situation, including discharge plans.
- Revised treatment plans based on patient progress towards stated goals.
- Document patient information in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
- Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations.
- Identify and act upon performance improvement opportunities to implement best practices.

- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Licensed (and in good standing) as a physical therapist in the state of Rhode Island.
- Basic skills in math and computer science.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the English language.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a member of a team.
- Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
