About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Facilities Management Director to lead our Plant Operations & Maintenance Departments within our hospital campus environment.

This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of healthcare building mechanical, structural, and electrical systems, as well as expertise in NFPA, TJC, CMS, DNV, EPA, and OSHA codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate existing programs, services, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Meet with hospital clients and staff to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and communicate programs and policies.
  • Supervise the flow and quality of work to ensure completion of workload and consistency to facility standards.
  • Prepare and lead departmental budgets, including utilities and energy savings programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and other regulatory appointments.
  • Supervise work performance and prepare and/or review performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
  • Guide employees on salient features of facility personnel and employee relations programs and answer any questions.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction and development of physical facilities.
  • Review, evaluate, and recommend approval of plans for construction.
  • Serve as liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and material and equipment suppliers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of responsibility at a director level in areas of engineering, maintenance, and construction in a healthcare institution.
  • Previous Facilities Management experience in an acute care hospital required.
  • Proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
  • Ability to meet established goals and objectives.
