Role Responsibilities
If you are pursuing a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and are curious about the various career paths available to engineers beyond technical roles, this internship may align with your interests. You will join the Aero Product Champion team, where we provide essential technical and project support to the Global New Unit sales organization. Your contributions will span from project inception to bid submission.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Product Champion Intern:
- Collaborate with product champions and sales teams to identify necessary materials for effectively presenting our Aeroderivative gas turbine offerings during initial customer interactions.
- Coordinate with technical and marketing contributors to gather relevant content and transform it into a format suitable for sales.
- Familiarize yourself with sales content management systems to enhance the commercial team's access to vital information.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of our Aeroderivative gas turbine product lines and ensure that all content is readily available.
- Engage in business processes related to solution selling of Aeroderivative technology to customers.
This role supports a high-volume, interactive process within a complex supply chain, focusing on Aero shop repairs and module exchanges. The team is dedicated to timely project delivery and profitability, working closely with Regional Sales and customer service. You will assist in managing the flow of information between teams and customers, ensuring effective communication regarding project status and costs.
Aero Tendering & Cost Intern:
This position within the Aero Tendering & Proposal Costing team emphasizes the organization and development of power plant designs and cost data to facilitate the growth of our Aeroderivative business. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, collaborating with seasoned engineering and cost professionals. Responsibilities include integrating supplier proposals into a new database application and analyzing engineering calculations to understand cost-driving variables.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline, specifically Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Willingness to undergo a drug test and background investigation as part of the selection process.
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
