Academic Instructor

At The Bizzell Group, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Instructor to join our team. As an Academic Instructor, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality education and support to our students.

• Design and deliver individual and group lessons to assist students in overcoming specific difficulties in mathematics and reading.
• Provide instruction to students enrolled in Reading, Mathematics, HSD/HSE, and English Language Learning.
• Conduct and manage academic classes, promoting a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting.
• Establish a high degree of student/instructor rapport and work directly with career tech instructors in coordinating curriculum development.
• Utilize all possible curricular resources available at the Center and maintain students' personal folders, recording personal data, including test scores, evaluations, incident reports, achievement awards, and any other pertinent information concerning students.
• Participate in ESPs (evaluation of student performance) and evaluate student employees' performance in academics and career success standards (CSS).
• Work toward meeting performance standard goals, learning gains, HSD/HSE, trade completion, and career technical certification.
• Conduct audits of ATARS; develop corrective action as needed.
• Follow CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.
• Assist with quarterly graduation exercises.
• Adhere to required property control policies and procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and comply with safety practices.
• Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate and abide by The Bizzell Group's core values and operating principles.
• Model, mentor, and monitor appropriate Career Success Standards.
• Participate in PRH-mandated staff training is mandatory.

• Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Computer Literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong knowledge of the subject area of instruction and academic teaching practices.
• High level of communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
• High level of ability to motivate, inspire, and educate students effectively.
• Minimum of one to two years related experience in education.
• Bachelor's degree in education from a four-year college or university and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified to teach in the state in which the center is located.
• Valid State Driver's License.
