Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Caregiver to join our team at Sevita. As a Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will provide support and assistance with daily living activities, help individuals develop skills and independence, and promote their overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
  • Help individuals develop skills and independence, such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
  • Support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs
  • Transport individuals to medical appointments and outings
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required if you are 20 years of age or younger
  • Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
  • Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
