Job Summary:
The City & Borough of Juneau, AK is seeking a Part-Time Lifeguard to join our team at the Augustus Brown Swimming Pool. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyable experience for guests using the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor swimmers and respond to situations where their safety may be compromised.
- Maintain a safe environment by enforcing rules and providing care to guests who may become injured or encounter a physical ailment.
- Perform basic upkeep of the facility by maintaining a clean environment, free of trash and clutter.
- Monitor the safe operation of aquatic attractions and ensure the safety of swimmers in the facility.
Requirements:
- Certified as American Red Cross Lifeguard or the equivalent.
- First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Ability to work well as part of a team of varying ages and experience levels.
- Ability to handle high-paced and occasionally stressful situations.
