Preconstruction Manager

We are seeking a skilled Preconstruction Manager to join our team in the Gulf States Region. This role will be based out of our office in Richardson and will involve working on projects with a value of over $5 million.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, and will have experience in pre-construction, estimating, or a related field. They will also have a strong understanding of different building systems and will be able to advise clients or procure the appropriate subject matter experts.

The Preconstruction Manager will be responsible for preparing conceptual cost models and budgets, performing quantitative analyses of construction documents and project program requirements, and providing direction and oversight of project coordination, logistics, staffing, and procurement of resources.

They will also be responsible for coordinating the preparation of cost models, milestone estimates, and GMP packages to ensure compliance with contract, scope, and budget requirements. Additionally, they will provide consultative guidance on constructability, schedule, quality, phasing, and staffing, and will build and facilitate collaborative team processes among project participants.

The Preconstruction Manager will establish and maintain professional working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, and will network within the market to learn client business models and establish credibility.

They will also build and manage subcontractor relationships, facilitate proposals, bids, and presentations, and will have the ability to travel to project work sites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of code, permitting, and municipality processes, and will have the ability to work within a complex business as an active participant in driving growth and change.

They will also have the ability to drive operations and execute plans, and will have experience cultivating an active network or relationships, driving collaboration and alignment, relating well to colleagues, and connecting with employees at all levels.

The Preconstruction Manager will develop written, oral, and listening skills in order to effectively communicate with diverse audiences, and will have the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints.
