The Banquet Set Up/House Person is a key member of our hotel team, responsible for setting, maintaining, and refreshing hotel banquet meeting rooms according to sales contract and company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization are done in a timely manner and assist the supervisor during large functions.
  • Set up banquet and meeting rooms in a timely manner to allow the banquet service staff to prepare for functions.
  • Responsible for the timely and safe breakdown of meeting rooms after event completion.
  • Refresh rooms on time, have water in rooms, clean rooms, and set for appropriate functions.

Qualifications:

No formal education is required, but prior housekeeping experience is desirable.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to communicate with guests, other associates, and supervisors.
  • Ability to assess and meet standards.
  • Ability to meet standards of appearance.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Mobility - Ability to reach all areas of responsibility, including shelves, windows, ledges, pipes, under, and around furniture.
  • Continuous standing - continuously standing and/or walking to accomplish all required tasks.
  • Climbing stairs - approximately 40 steps, 15% of a 40-hour week. No driving is required.

Environment:

Inside 80% of an 8-hour workday.
