Academic Governance Leader

Pansophia Academy seeks dedicated individuals to join its Board of Education, playing a vital role in shaping the institution's future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership aligned with the Academy's mission
- Govern in accordance with the Charter Contract, bylaws, and articles of incorporation
- Oversee Academy finances
- Adopt policies
- Engage in strategic planning
- Advocate for the Academy
- Adhere to the Open Meetings Act
- Conduct a self-assessment
Individual Board Member Expectations:
- Commit to serving a one to four (1-4) year term
- Know the Academy's mission, vision, and policies
- Attend and participate in monthly board meetings
- Prepare by reviewing monthly board packets, including financial documents
- Be an ambassador for the Academy and attend Academy events
- Attend board development trainings
- Participate in one or more committees
Selection Process:
- Complete an application and a conflict of interest disclosure
- Complete a background check
- Attend interviews with current board members
- Take an oath of office
