Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Palliative Care Practice Manager.

Employment Status: Non-exempt (Hourly), Full-time

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with varied daytime hours based on client needs.

Compensation: $18.50 per hour

Role Summary:

The In-Home Aide is responsible for delivering personal care and home management services to clients eligible for Guide Model Caregiver services, working in collaboration with Memory Care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to the scope of training and applicable regulations.
  • Execute tasks as directed by a registered nurse.
  • Implement safety and infection control protocols.
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).
  • Maintain punctuality and professional appearance.
  • Complete required training and orientation modules.

  • Understanding of body mechanics and infection control principles.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive approach with innovative problem-solving skills.

  • Flexibility in work hours.

  • Comprehension of policies, laws, and regulations.
Minimum Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: Preferred one year of caregiving experience.

Licenses & Certifications: Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance; maintain good standing on NCNAR if working as a CNA.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, twist, and squat.
  • Hand dexterity for gripping, pushing, pulling, and writing.
  • Capability to assist with client transfers and repositioning.
