Job Summary

The Direct Support Professional 2 will provide daily support and assistance in Level 2 residential programs at Bridgewell.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide support and assist individuals with skills training in all activities of daily living.
  2. Create opportunities for individuals to make decisions and develop their skills, fostering independence.
  3. Ensure services are provided according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and applicable regulatory standards.
  4. Support individuals with medical, clinical, and financial needs.
  5. Transport and accompany individuals as needed for medical and recreational activities outside the program.
  6. Maintain required documentation according to regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
  7. Assist individuals with accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community.
  8. Administer medications according to MAP regulations, as applicable.
  9. Maintain core training certifications including FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP.
  10. Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate's degree or DSP certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
