Role Responsibilities:
The Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting imaging procedures that assist in diagnosis and treatment planning, ensuring high standards of patient care. This role requires proficiency in various imaging modalities, including fluoroscopy and X-ray, catering to Emergency Room patients, surgical cases, inpatients, and outpatients.

Key Duties:
1. Review the daily patient schedule to optimize workflow and reduce patient wait times.
2. Ensure accurate identification and documentation of radiographic images.
3. Safely transfer patients to the examination table while monitoring their safety throughout the procedure.
4. Position patients correctly under the X-ray apparatus, utilizing immobilization devices and lead shields to protect non-affected areas.
5. Adhere to established protocols for the cleaning, preparation, and operation of radiological equipment.


6. Provide concise and relevant hand-off reports to team members regarding the patient's condition and response to care.


Work Schedule:
24 hours every 6 weeks, subject to departmental needs, including holiday and call rotations. One Saturday every five weeks, with call approximately once every 15 days.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
A vocational diploma or Associate's degree from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program is required.

Licenses and Certifications:
Certification as a Radiologic Technologist is mandatory.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
