Cardiac Cath Lab Tech PRN Job Summary

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist plays a vital role in providing support to the patient care team under the general direction of the Manager, Cardiovascular Services and the direct supervision of the Clinical Coordinator, Cardiac Cath Lab.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients undergoing invasive diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing or intervention.
  • Participates in the development of the plan of care for patients undergoing invasive diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing or intervention.
  • Performs scrub and monitoring duties utilizing all aspects of catheterization equipment.
  • Applies prescribed procedures for operation of radiology imaging equipment, including storing of images, burning CDs, archiving, and calculating ejection fraction from LV gram.
  • Observes and ensures radiation safety for patients and staff members.
  • Operates MAC LAB hemodynamic monitoring system.
  • Performs patient setup, scrubs, and pans for various coronary and peripheral diagnostic and/or interventional procedures.
Requirements:
  • RCIS or R.T. (R) (ARRT); NH Medical Imaging License required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Minimum one to two years of cath lab experience preferred.
