Job Title: Financial Transaction Coordinator
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Transaction Coordinator to join our team at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and processing financial transactions, preparing month-end reports, and maintaining financial filing systems.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and process financial transactions, including keying data, sorting documents, and processing digital and cash transactions.
- Prepare month-end reports, reconciling transaction, budget, and expense reports for monthly reporting.
- Maintain financial filing systems, overseeing and updating them as necessary to streamline financial processes.
- Manage accounts payable, submitting and filing invoices and tracking the status of each account.
- Assist with clerical and administrative tasks, including answering phones, organizing mail, and ordering office supplies.
- Provide customer service, assisting students, issuing Student IDs, and covering the switchboard.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, spell accurately, and write legibly.
- Ability to operate manual and automated office equipment.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to perform arithmetic computations.
- Experience with personal computers and software, including Excel and Word documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience handling money.
Working Conditions:
The Financial Transaction Coordinator will work in a fast-paced office environment, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and handle large sums of money.
