Position Overview:
The Catering Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Food & Beverage Catering Manager in executing successful events within a multi-venue facility. This part-time role is essential for ensuring that all catering and banquet functions meet the highest standards of service and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in guaranteeing client satisfaction by meticulously checking food quality, room arrangements, and timely service.
  • Support the Catering Manager in overseeing catering staff to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Help address and resolve any client issues that may arise before or during events.
  • Collaborate with the Catering Manager to create and manage staffing schedules for various events.
  • Participate in training catering staff to uphold service standards and adhere to HR policies.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels for all bars during events.
  • Help prepare and distribute banquet event orders to relevant departments as needed.
  • Monitor and process all banquet event orders, including changes and special requests from clients.
  • Oversee the execution of catering events from inception to completion.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Two to four years of experience in hospitality management within a catering context, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in Food & Beverage is required.
  • Successful completion of background and reference checks is mandatory.
  • Strong customer service, communication, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills, along with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.

This position requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in addition to standard business hours.
