Job Summary
St. Joseph's Health is seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate to join our team. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide basic care to acutely ill patients, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms and equipment
- Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- BLS certification required at time of hire or must obtain within 6 months of hire
- Phlebotomy/blood drawing experience preferred but will train
- One of the following certifications required: PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of previous work experience, CNA certification, PCA/PCT diploma with National Health Career Association certification, EMT certification, or enrolled in an accredited nursing school program and has completed Nursing Fundamentals level coursework
