Job Summary:
The primary function of this role is to deliver exceptional customer service to patrons of the Dining Services by managing access to the dining area and processing payments for meals. This involves warmly welcoming guests and ensuring they are treated with utmost care and respect. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area, setting up food stations, and restocking food and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Uphold the mission and vision of Concordia College while demonstrating the required competencies for this role.
2. Greet customers and guests upon arrival at the dining center, providing attentive service to fulfill their needs by processing payments through meal plans, cash, or other accepted methods – 55%.
3. Adhere to Dining Service policies and procedures, ensuring the security of the dining area and the safety of our guests – 15%.
4. Maintain cleanliness by clearing tables, restocking supplies, and performing other duties during non-peak hours – 15%.
5. Collaborate with student employees and management to assist in recruitment and retention efforts – 5%.
6. Prepare Fresh & Fillings stations on Saturday and Sunday mornings to ensure readiness for service, following established templates and reviewing the daily menu for accuracy – 10%.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of ServSafe course and passing of the ServSafe exam or internal food safety exam within the first year of employment
- One year of customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic employment skills including reading, oral and written communication, and simple arithmetic for cash handling and balancing.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, with current certification or the ability to obtain certification through ServSafe or a similar program.
- Experience in providing excellent customer service in a food service environment.
- Proficiency in scanning identification cards, processing guest meals, cash transactions, and generating reports.
- Strong communication skills to direct student employees and collaborate with staff to ensure adherence to procedures, while engaging customers with a positive and dedicated attitude.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
