The primary responsibility of this position is to provide exceptional customer service to Dining Services customers by controlling access to the dining room and collecting payment for meals.

• Welcome and greet guests, treating them with care and respect, and provide customer service to meet their needs and requests.
• Uphold Dining Service policies and procedures, ensuring the security of the dining room and our guests.
• Clean tables, replenish supplies, and perform other duties between meal periods.
• Work with student employees, co-workers, and management in student employee recruitment and retention.
• Set up Fresh & Fillings stations on Saturday and Sunday morning to be ready to open, following template setups and reviewing menu daily to ensure the right menu items are used.

• High-School Diploma/GED
• Take ServSafe course and pass ServSafe exam or pass internal food safety exam within first year of employment
• 1 year customer service experience

• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation and current certification or ability to become certified with ServSafe or similar program
• Excellent customer service skills working directly with customers in a food service environment
• Skilled in scanning identification cards, processing guest meals, cash transactions, and report generation
• Customer service skills in working with the public
• Communication skills to give directions to student employees and work with other staff to ensure proper procedures are being followed
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people
