Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Mission Veterinary Partners. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily clinic duties, including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, and dental procedures.
  • Provide patient care under the direction of a licensed veterinarian, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and monitoring patient conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, answering questions, and providing education on animal care and health.
  • Participate in special cleaning duties and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a veterinary setting or related field highly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and efficient during medical crises and handle a fast-paced environment.
