About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. for a summer internship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support plant operations in achieving production goals by partnering with experienced engineers, managers, and production employees in different departments.
  • Complete summer projects to gain an understanding of the operations of a cement plant and the industry, as well as drive efficiency.
  • Learn the mission of the production, maintenance, and quality departments and different job functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current juniors and seniors working toward a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Commitment and engagement through a high level of work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company.
  • Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
