Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Radiology Associates of Hartford PC. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized MRI and radiographic procedures and examinations for radiological diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately interpret physician's scanning instructions and routine procedural protocols
  • Administer contrast materials, prepare, and operate the MR equipment, associated software, devices, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images
  • Maintain communication with radiologists and other physicians, patients, and their families, and other people
  • Document all patient-related information in the radiology information system in a timely manner based on patient and radiologist workflow
  • Perform quality control and reporting tasks, setting up and conducting MRI procedures, maintaining day-to-day schedules, assisting radiologists, and contributing to the efficient operation of the department assuring the quality and continuity of patient care
  • Screen patients, employees, and visitors to maintain a magnetically safe environment according to the American College of Radiology standards
  • Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and safety
  • Provide coverage as needed and provide instruction/mentoring to new hires
  • Continuously strive to learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation programs
Requirements
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), MRI certification required within 12 months of employment
  • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (RTR). Connecticut Radiographer License
  • Two years of MRI technologist experience
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
