About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with serious mental illness.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement services that provide skill training, supportive, and/or treatment for individuals in recovery from a serious mental illness.
  • Deliver services primarily in the individual's home or other community settings, adhering to guidelines for Assertive Community Treatment.
  • Collaborate with treatment team members, including natural supports, to promote integrated care and reinforce the individual's role as the director of their service plan.
  • Implement the use of groups to encourage learning from others in recovery and promote peer-based advocacy.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of Admission, Intake, Comprehensive Assessment, and other paperwork that result in the development of a Service Plan.
  • Provide individual and group therapy consistent with best practices to identified clients.
  • Recognize and teach team members of the early symptoms of physical and mental illness, and perform/coach staff to perform appropriate interventions and/or referrals.
  • Be available for after-hours, on-call services as assigned.
Requirements
  • Licensed mental health counselor, marriage and family therapist, master's level social worker, or independent level social worker.
  • Prior experience treating people with serious and persistent mental illness.
  • Valid Iowa Driver's License, clean MRV, and current automobile insurance.
