YOUR NEXT ROLE:


The Lead Engineering Operations Manager is a pivotal management role responsible for overseeing technical engineering and managing design teams for assigned projects.

This role entails providing financial oversight, resource management, logistical coordination, and technical guidance, along with the ability to mentor and develop team members.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand project specifications and formulate design fees for requested work.

Develop and supervise work plans for engineering and production teams.

Manage Engineers, Designers, and Modeling personnel assigned to projects.


Communicate effectively with Project Managers or Executives regarding the resources needed to meet deliverables and project support.

This may involve creating requests for additional services for submission to management or clients.

Lead the Engineering Coordination efforts and collaborate with project management.

Resolve complex challenges, including conflicting design specifications and coordination issues.

Oversee project coordination with municipal, state, and county officials, as well as other regulatory bodies.

Participate in project design meetings with the overall project team.

Conduct site visits to evaluate installations or current conditions.

Perform Value Engineering assessments.

Act as the Engineer of Record for projects under your supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences from an accredited institution.

A minimum of 8 years of engineering experience is typically required.

Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the United States is essential for this position.

Field experience is highly recommended.

Education and experience may include a combination of academic training and relevant work experience.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Leadership – Ability to guide a diverse team towards achieving objectives.

Communication – Proficient in both verbal and written communication.

Collaboration – Ability to work effectively with a diverse group to achieve exceptional results.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:


Strong understanding of engineering processes and calculations, including load analysis, equipment layout, emergency power distribution, lighting design, and utility coordination.

Familiarity with equipment testing and commissioning is necessary.

Ability to take responsibility, interface, and coordinate with various stakeholders.

Capability to analyze and address complex engineering challenges.


Experience overseeing Electrical System Studies, such as Short Circuit Analysis, Overcurrent Protection, and Voltage Drop Calculations.

Management skills are required, including work planning, resource allocation, fee estimation, and staff development.

Knowledge of electrical construction to comprehend how design packages will be executed.

Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle experience is preferred.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities as needed.

Ability to work under pressure and adjust to evolving requirements with a positive outlook.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.

Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel, including management, staff, clients, and partners.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Up to 25% travel may be required (excluding local site visits).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
General work environment includes sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Work is primarily conducted indoors with varying conditions, including fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

Noise levels are typically low to medium, but may be elevated on job sites.
