Position Overview: RN Clinical Supervisor for CVICU - Full Time Nights

The Clinical Supervisor, in partnership with the Director, is accountable for the ongoing safe operation of the designated department, encompassing all facets of patient care, staffing, financial stewardship, and the strategic objectives of the unit. This role is a recognized leader responsible for the execution, oversight, and assessment of secure patient care while fostering a safe environment for staff, families, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain clinical and professional expertise relevant to the ages, developmental stages, and unique needs of the patient population.
  • Promote Service Excellence behaviors consistently.

Qualifications Required:

The ideal candidate for the RN Clinical Supervisor position will have:

  • Proficiency in all assigned areas.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including achievement, management, interpersonal relations, problem-solving, critical thinking, effective communication, and personal accountability.

Licensure and Certification:

A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state of residence is mandatory. If holding an RN license from another Compact state, a Multi-State RN License from the state of residence must be obtained within 30 days. CPR certification is required, along with other certifications as specified by the unit. A BSN is preferred or actively pursuing a degree with a designated graduation date. Relevant mandatory certifications for the department must be completed within the orientation period.

Experience:

A minimum of 2-3 years of Acute Care or equivalent experience with proven leadership skills is essential. Certifications as required by the specific unit assignment are also necessary.
