This is an accompanied expat position located at a major military base in Japan. We are seeking an experienced F-35 Mission Systems Field Service Engineer who will expatriate under Services of Force Agreement (SOFA) privileges as a Technical Representative to support our Japanese Air Defense Forces.
Key Responsibilities- Act as part of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment technical interface to the JASDF on-site Customer in resolving issues arising from maintenance and modification activities for all matters dealing with the F-35 aircraft.
- Provide technical support and expertise to the JASDF on F-35 Mission Systems, Vehicle Systems, and Low Observable technologies.
- Collaborate with Lockheed Martin teams to resolve technical issues and improve F-35 performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports to support F-35 maintenance and modification activities.
- Minimum 5 years total Fifth Generation aircraft experience, including at least 2 years Avionics/Mission Systems on Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft and minimum 2 years combined Vehicle Systems and Supportable Low Observable experience on 5th Generation fighter aircraft.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Strong technical expertise in Avionics/Mission Systems, Vehicle Systems, and Low Observable technologies.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with engineering tools, including PDM, VAS, JEDI, JARVIS, JTD, and CRE.
- Knowledge of CATIA and System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE) or similar.
- Airframe & Power plant (A&P) license.
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.
