Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a proficient Class A Driver to contribute to our dynamic workforce. This role entails operating tractor-trailer combinations to efficiently transport, pick up, and deliver goods in bulk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate trucks to various locations with multiple daily stops
  • Ensure cargo security to prevent damage and maintain safety
  • Maintain accurate truck logs in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Conduct inspections of truck equipment and related supplies
  • Transport goods between warehouse and production facilities
  • Collaborate with supervisors and dispatch for pick-up and delivery guidance
  • Prepare receipts, manage payments, and oversee loading/unloading of the truck
  • Utilize auxiliary equipment mounted on trucks as needed
  • Transfer materials to designated areas efficiently
  • Organize and sort materials in storage locations
  • Utilize computer systems for record management
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in local delivery
  • Possession of a Class A license with a satisfactory DMV record

Additional Qualifications:

  • Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics
  • Ability to operate a forklift (certification preferred)

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Involves lifting, carrying, sitting, stooping, and handling materials
