Radiation Therapist

UNC Health Care is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in administering radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients.
Key Responsibilities- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with physician instructions and treatment plans.
- Assist physicians, radiation oncologists, and clinical physicists in preparing physical and technical aspects of radiation treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient and billing records, reports, and files.
- Perform routine and complex radiation therapy treatments, including total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and low and high brachytherapy.
- Prepare equipment and rooms for patient treatments, ensuring safety and quality assurance.
- Provide on-the-job clinical instruction and evaluation for student radiation therapists.
- Graduation from a Radiation Therapy Technologist program approved by the Council of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA).
- Radiation Therapy certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Board Eligible (must receive certification within one year of hire).
