Role Summary: The Assistant Manager will be integral in facilitating the daily operations of the fitness center. This role involves supporting the Club Manager in overseeing gym functions, managing staff, and ensuring member satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Assist in the daily management of gym operations, including opening and closing duties, facility upkeep, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Staff Leadership: Supervise and motivate gym personnel. Conduct training sessions and performance reviews.
- Member Relations: Create a welcoming atmosphere for members. Address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Marketing and Sales: Help develop and execute promotional strategies to attract new members and retain current ones. Support membership sales initiatives and promotional activities.
- Administrative Tasks: Oversee scheduling, inventory management, and other administrative responsibilities. Assist with budgeting and financial reporting as necessary.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and labor regulations. Conduct regular inspections of the facility and promptly address any safety issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2 years in a management or supervisory position, ideally within the fitness or customer service sectors.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
- Fitness Knowledge: A genuine passion for fitness and wellness, with a solid understanding of gym operations and member services.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with gym management software is advantageous.
