Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of a tree care team, your primary role will be to support crew operations and assist in delivering various services.

Essential Duties:

■ Operate chainsaws, chippers, trucks, and other hand tools safely.

■ Use all personal protective equipment effectively.

■ Assist with the operation of trucks, including driving, reversing, and parking.

■ Maintain the chipper and, under supervision, change blades as necessary.

■ Keep trucks and assigned equipment organized and clean.

■ Perform sharpening, cleaning, and basic maintenance on chainsaws.

■ Safely lift a minimum of 75lbs.

■ Ensure a safe and controlled job site while climbers are in the trees and help enforce safety protocols.

■ Clean up and chip brush from all completed services.

■ Possess a fundamental understanding of climbing techniques and skills.

■ Recognize and understand the dangers associated with electrical hazards.

■ Be capable of obtaining a CDL.

■ Work outdoors in varying and sometimes challenging weather conditions.

Qualifications:

We are looking for enthusiastic, open-minded individuals who are willing to learn. A valid driver's license in North Carolina is required. Candidates must be able to follow directions from team members and comprehend written and spoken English. The ability to hear verbal instructions from a distance is essential. First-aid certification must be maintained, with costs covered by Catawba Tree Experts, Inc.
