Job Overview

As a Climbing Arborist at Heartwood Tree Care LLC, you will be responsible for climbing, inspecting, and performing routine tree work, assisting in the performance of all services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe daily production including tree climbing, pruning, and tree removal
  • Gear and pre-climb inspections
  • Safe climbing techniques, limb walking, proper work positioning, rope installation
  • Collaboration with the crew leader

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of climbing experience
  • Enthusiasm, open-mindedness, and a willingness to learn
  • Industrial athlete with a great attitude and love of trees
  • Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
  • Experience with proper pruning practices, including large shade trees and ornamentals
  • Ability to identify tree and shrub species and have a working knowledge of each species' characteristics
  • Ability to climb without spurs
  • Experience with tree care safety standards
  • Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation
  • Aerial lift experience a plus
