Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Christus Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Room, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals of all ages, from infants to adults. Your expertise will be essential in assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients' responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing education and support to promote health and well-being.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an Emergency Room or Critical Care unit.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, if required by the facility.
