This is an exciting opportunity to join the City of Wilmington team as a Police Cadet. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, performing administrative tasks, and supporting the Police Department's operations. You will have the chance to work in an office setting, interact with citizens, and contribute to maintaining public safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sort and process daily mail, train new cadets, assist officers with reports, register bicycles, sign in guests, and provide support to other divisions within the Department. You will also be responsible for retrieving and explaining reports to citizens, filing paperwork, and managing the front desk.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must be between the ages 18 and 25 years old, possess or be eligible to obtain a NC Driver's License, be a U.S. Citizen, and hold a High School diploma or GED. Preference will be given to applicants actively attending school while majoring in Criminal Justice or closely related field of study.
