Job Summary

Marine Hydraulics International, LLC is seeking a skilled Rigging and Crane Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating cranes and rigging equipment to lift, move, and position heavy loads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Maintain Equipment: Inspect cranes and rigging equipment before operation and notify supervisors of any defects or malfunctions. Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Calculate Load Capacities: Calculate the weight of items to be moved and check the capacity of the crane to ensure safe operation.
  • Ensure Safe Operations: Check clearances, overhead lines, and obstructions to avoid accidents or damage to personnel, equipment, or property.
  • Operate Equipment: Locate and set cranes in required areas, check ground pressure, and review permits to ensure safe operation.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work with other crew members to coordinate crane operations and ensure safe and efficient lifting and moving of heavy loads.
  • Comply with Safety Regulations: Obey all safety guidelines, federal, state, and company-imposed, for inspection, operation, leaving equipment unattended, erecting, and dismantling.
  • Maintain Equipment: Clean and maintain cranes and hoisting mechanisms to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Five or more years of on-the-job experience or a combination of experience and completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for mobile crane operators or other education programs.
  • Certifications: Certification by the North American Crane Bureau Group or the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators.
  • Licenses: Valid state CDL B license and current medical certification.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, reading and writing skills sufficient to understand written directions and applicable safety regulations.
