About Us
We are a 36-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Texas Health Resources. Our comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs aim to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve. We offer customized, intense rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.
Job Summary
The Rehabilitation Care Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals requiring rehabilitation services. This includes performing patient care responsibilities considering the specific needs of each patient, preparing patients for meals, serving and removing food trays, assisting with meals or feeding patients if necessary, answering patient call lights, and anticipating patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care responsibilities considering the specific needs of each patient
- Prepare patients for meals; serve and remove food trays and assist with meals or feed patients if necessary
- Answer patient call lights and anticipate patient needs
- Assist patients with handling personal property, such as dentures, glasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, prosthetic devices, etc.
- Report and record any changes observed in condition or behavior of patients and unusual incidents
- Assist licensed nursing staff with treatment procedures
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, a minimum six months experience in an acute or long-term facility preferred, and CPR/BCLS certification.

Compensation:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This compensation package also includes benefits such as up to 20 days of PTO, 6 paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, and continuing education opportunities.
