About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Emergency Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Job Summary

The Critical Care Nurse Specialist will be responsible for assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in our emergency department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and be able to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.

This role requires a registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in telemetry/ICU or a combination of related healthcare positions. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.

We offer a competitive salary of $93,100 per year, plus benefits, including free CEUs and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and progress.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions.
  • At least 2 years of full-time RN experience in Telemetry/ICU or a combination of related healthcare positions.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Fluent written and oral communication skills in English.
