About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin, where you will play a critical role in the development and integration of Aegis systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, specification, and maintenance of HVAC equipment, domestic water systems, chilled water systems, deionized water systems, process piping, plumbing systems, fire suppression systems, sanitary water systems, and/or Automatic Temperature Control (ATC).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and MS Project software.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required.
Requirements
  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree in an engineering program or related field(s), or equivalent -experience, with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Background in mechanical and some civil/architectural engineering disciplines, including mechanical, structural, and building automation systems.
  • Experienced in design, specification, and maintenance of HVAC equipment, domestic water systems, chilled water systems, deionized water systems, process piping, plumbing systems, fire suppression systems, sanitary water systems, and/or Automatic Temperature Control (ATC).
  • Understanding of building management systems, related equipment and processes, and elevator functionality.
  • FE or PE license
  • Good oral and written communications skills for working with maintenance staff, outside technical contractors, and inplant management on subjects involving engineering design, operations, functionality, and project planning.
  • Facilities construction experience.
  • Flexibility to work nonstandard work shifts, if needed, as required by the supported program.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships are a must.
  • Experience working directly with US Navy customers including AEGIS TECHREP and DCMA.
