Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the Paratransit Driver is responsible for:

  • Safely transporting PACE participants, including those who are ambulatory and wheelchair-bound.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the assigned vehicle.
  • Communicating any safety concerns to the Transportation Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid NC Driver's License.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in transporting elderly or frail individuals.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support or First Aid certification must be obtained within 15 days of employment.
