Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Provide life skills training, literacy skills, and academic enrichment to preschool students with mental and physical disabilities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students and families
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop strategies for improvement
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
Requirements
  • BA/MA/MS and New York State Certification in Special Education or a related field
  • Experience working with students with mental and physical disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
