Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing all nuclear medicine procedures, demonstrating anatomy under investigation through proper patient positioning, techniques selection, administration of radiopharmaceuticals, and application of immobilization and radiation protection devices according to policy and procedure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all nuclear medicine procedures, including imaging and therapeutic procedures
  • Demonstrate anatomy under investigation through proper patient positioning and techniques selection
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and apply immobilization and radiation protection devices according to policy and procedure
  • Work effectively with patients and patients' families and maintain a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • Graduate of AMA-approved School of Nuclear Medicine
  • Previous clinical experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Certification by the state of Nebraska or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
