Hotel Room Attendant Job Summary

The Hotel Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of hotel guest rooms and assigned areas. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and Maintain Guest Rooms: Change sheets, make beds, and vacuum guest rooms to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for guests.
  • Dust and Clean Surfaces: Dust all surfaces, including tables, nightstands, dressers, light fixtures, televisions, air conditioning units, and window ledges.
  • Notify Guest Services: Inform guest services or housekeeping lead when service is complete, allowing rooms to be sold.
  • Report Issues: Report any room unable to be serviced within time standards to the supervisor and report needed repairs of unsafe conditions.
  • Respond to Guest Requests: Respond to guest requests, supervisor, or management in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain Linen Cart and Supplies: Maintain linen cart and supplies neat and organized to department standards.
  • Secure Equipment and Supplies: Maintain security of equipment, keys, and supplies issued each day.
  • Report Lost and Found Articles: Report lost and found articles to the supervisor.
  • Replace Light Bulbs: Replace light bulbs as needed.
  • Transport Trash and Waste: Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
  • Replenish Supplies: Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing supplies, bathroom supplies, and linen.
  • Clean Rooms to Standard: Clean rooms in accordance with specific brand and company minutes per room standard.
  • Follow Procedures: Follow procedures for team cleaning and self-inspecting programs.
  • Provide Excellent Guest Service: Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner and report appropriate complaints or requests to appropriate departments.
  • Keep Maid Station Clean: Keep the maid station clean and organized, and make rollaway beds.
  • Professional Image: Provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
  • Follow Company Policies: Follow company policies and procedures.
