Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant or Associate Professor to join our Division of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have a strong background in neurological physical therapy and a passion for teaching and clinical practice. The position requires a physical therapy degree with eligibility for Minnesota licensure and clinical board certification in neurological physical therapy. Preference will be given to applicants with prior academic experience and a history of scholarly publications.
Responsibilities- Teaching: The successful candidate will have experience and passion for teaching and contemporary clinical practice knowledge in area of neurological rehabilitation. They will be responsible for teaching a comprehensive (8-credit) course in neurological rehabilitation, including physical therapy management of adults with neuromuscular dysfunction.
- Clinical Precepting or Clinical Practice: The candidate will be expected to maintain clinical expertise and Board Certification eligibility through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
- Service: All faculty contribute to committee and professional service, faculty governance of the DPT program, as well as the Department, Medical School, and University.
- Scholarship: The faculty member will contribute to the scholarly mission of the Division, through an active commitment to excellence in a defined area of clinical scholarship.
