POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is pivotal in ensuring that the healthcare requirements of all residents are fulfilled. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor, RN will oversee that personnel are adequately trained in Olydia Home Care Inc. protocols and assisted living standards, ensuring adherence to current policies and regulations. This position collaborates closely with the Director of Nursing to supervise the quality of services delivered to clients and manage nursing staff effectively.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must hold a valid and unrestricted RN license from the State of Minnesota.
A valid driver's license is required if driving is necessary.
Minimum of three years of experience in relevant fields.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The ideal candidate will possess:
A strong sensitivity and aptitude for working with the elderly.
Effective communication skills to interact with staff, clients, families, and other healthcare coordinators.
Leadership and supervisory capabilities.
The ability to prioritize and organize tasks efficiently.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee the Assisted Living services, ensuring all essential documentation is completed and state regulations are met.
2. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations, being available for licensure surveys.
3. Collaborate with the Assisted Living Director to keep all forms, policies, and manuals updated.
4. Regularly meet with case workers as necessary.
5. Maintain current knowledge of trends in Assisted Living facilities.
6. Investigate and report any incidents of suspected resident neglect or abuse, following established procedures.
7. Safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of client records and living environments.
8. Be available for on-call duties regarding emergencies and changes in resident conditions.
9. Prepare and maintain accurate correspondence and paperwork related to resident data and billing.
10. Conduct initial assessments of potential clients to ensure their needs can be met.
11. Follow regulations for timely nursing assessments for all clients.
12. Ensure clients meet residency requirements and recommend alternative placements if necessary.
13. Implement and review service agreements and care plans for all clients.
14. Monitor and maintain accurate resident records and nursing notes.
15. Communicate any changes in clients' needs or conditions to physicians and relevant personnel.
16. Manage medication orders and renewals, ensuring all physician orders are signed and implemented promptly.
17. Supervise medication administration practices and ensure compliance with procedures.
18. Provide training and support to staff, ensuring they understand and follow all assisted living procedures.
19. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff and other departments.
20. Participate in staff meetings and contribute constructively to team discussions.
21. Address safety hazards and report any injuries immediately to the Director of Nursing.
22. Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the mission and values of Olydia Home Care Inc.
