Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a skilled Final Line Mech III to join our team in GAC Savannah. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing complex aircraft installations, repairs, and tests, ensuring all parts and assemblies meet requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Install and repair aircraft components, including lines, cables, and other systems, using proper documentation and control.
  2. Manage parts and disposition of parts in assigned work stations, ensuring efficient workflow and quality control.
  3. Instruct and assist team members in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders, developing methods and shop aids to resolve production installation difficulties.
  4. Coordinate work with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and quality assurance.
  5. Perform quality and efficiency checks on own installations, making repairs as needed to ensure conformity.
  6. Use a variety of tools and equipment to successfully complete component installation, troubleshooting mechanical and structural problems as needed.
  7. Update and sign required logs and records, maintaining a neat and orderly work area and supporting company FOD and 5S programs.
  8. May be required to plan and organize workloads and resource requirements, demonstrating Gulfstream Manufacturing competencies in employee effectiveness reviews.
  9. Maintain and use all logs and records, including MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, etc., supporting continuous improvement processes as assigned.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required; 5 years aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience preferred.
  2. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
  3. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams, with knowledge of close tolerance work and special tools.
  4. Ability to operate hydraulic mule pumps, tools, fixtures, and jigs, with physical demands including climbing ladders and stairs, working in small-space restricted areas, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
