Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Senior Radiology Technician to join our team in the Heart and Vascular department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures, operating equipment, and recording results in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform exams as directed by physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Assist physicians directly, utilizing sterile technique for invasive procedures.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, including pulse assessment and sterile field preparation.
  • Participate in equipment assessment and quality control with the department manager.
  • Take emergency calls after hours and on weekends when needed.
  • Maintain adequate supplies and inventory management.
  • Notify personnel for equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in other areas of Heart and Vascular as needed.
  • Conduct patient education, screening, and scheduling.
  • Assist with procedure setup and execution, and patient transportation.
  • Attend continuing education programs and complete mandatory training.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (ARRT), in good standing.
  • Current state licensure (RL).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (R)(CV)(ARRT).
  • One or two years of experience as a diagnostic technologist.
  • OR one year of experience in special procedures.
Physical Requirements

Requires standing and walking for extended periods. Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
