We are currently seeking candidates with a valid CDL.

Key Responsibilities of a Bus Operator:

  • Safely operate various transit buses or vehicles within the designated service area according to a set schedule
  • Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections as mandated
  • Stop at specified locations to pick up and drop off passengers
  • Assist passengers with mobility aids and ensure their securement
  • Report any deviations, incidents, or mechanical issues to dispatch
  • Ensure fare collection and provide necessary information to passengers
  • Communicate rules and regulations to passengers when required
  • Complete and submit reports regarding passenger incidents and accidents
  • Utilize on-board computer systems for fare collection and destination displays.

Qualifications for Bus Operators:

  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Commercial Learner's Permit at a minimum; valid CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements preferred
  • At least 3 years of driving experience, whether personal or professional
  • No more than two moving violations in the last 3 years
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work assigned shifts and hours
