The Queen's University Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing patient care protocols, serving as a healthcare researcher, and providing patient advocacy. You will work autonomously and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to enhance the quality of nursing practice and patient care. Your responsibilities will include providing direct care services such as obtaining patient histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and managing social, economic, and ethical issues within the scope of a healthcare provider. You will also provide indirect patient care services such as setting standards for nursing practice and facilitating the professional practice of nursing care at the bedside. If licensed as an APRN, you will require specialty board certification aligned with your area of assignment, prescriptive authority for non-controlled substances, and depending on your area of assignment, prescriptive authority for controlled substances may be required. You will also require credentialing and privileging, as well as current BLS certification. If licensed as a Physician Assistant, you will require certification by the board to practice medicine with physician supervision. You will work under the supervision of a Physician and provide health care services to individuals and families, including health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic diseases. You will be responsible for obtaining patient histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and performing procedures within the scope of your practice and licensure. You will also provide patient and family education, and management of social, economic, and ethical issues within the scope of a healthcare provider. The ideal candidate will have a current Hawaii State license as an APRN or Physician Assistant in good standing, and depending on the area of assignment, additional certification(s) may be required. The salary range for this position is $141,086.00 to $162,781.00 annual salary.
