Job Summary:

The Cook I is responsible for preparing food for events held within CRVA facilities, such as the Bojangles Entertainment Complex. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement food presentation concepts to ensure all food is presented in a visually appealing manner.
  • Accomplish tasks on the production list, including preparing ingredients, cooking, and plating food.
  • Familiarize yourself with standard recipes and yields of all cold production.
  • Responsible for the production of all salad dressings, marinades, and sauces.
  • Delegate tasks to temporary staff during the kitchen prep phase of the event.
  • Ensure food ingredients are stored, labeled, and rotated properly.
  • Responsible for all garnishes and cold production.
  • Assist in overseeing the compliance of all health and safety standards.
  • Keep a neat and organized station during production.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering memorable customer experiences.
