Medical Oncology Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Oncology Specialist to join our team at US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals with cancer and blood disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings, including hematology and medical oncology specialty care.
  • Conduct thorough physical exams and patient observations, recording medical histories and symptoms.
  • Create and contribute to patient care plans, ordering and administering diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Diagnose health issues, detect changes in patient health, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Administer medications and treatments, evaluating patient responses and adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, participate in tumor boards, and provide education to patients and families on managing illnesses and disease prevention.
Qualifications:
  • Appropriate degree from an accredited program and active NP and PA licensure in the state of California.
  • Prescriptive authorization and active DEA license.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or other languages is preferred.
  • Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment, as well as computer-based data management programs and electronic medical records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
