Medical Oncology Job Opportunity

Epic Care, a dynamic and physician-led group, is seeking a Certified APP (NP or PA) to join our medical oncology service line. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver hematology and medical oncology specialty patient care, including physical exams and patient observations.
  • Record patient medical histories and symptoms, and create patient care plans.
  • Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests, and diagnose health issues.
  • Administer medicines and treatments, and evaluate responses to treatments and medications.
  • Consult with healthcare professionals, participate in tumor boards, and train patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention.
Qualifications:
  • Oncology experience is preferred but not required; an appropriate degree from an accredited program is necessary.
  • Active NP and PA licensure in the state of California, prescriptive authorization, and an active DEA license are required.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or other languages is preferred.
  • Proficiency in medical instruments and equipment, as well as computer-based data management programs and information systems, is necessary.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for working with medical partners, patients, family members, physicians, and community representatives.
  • A sound understanding of federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA, is required.
