Fire Protection Systems Specialist

Making a difference in fire safety is crucial, and we are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team at Pye-Barker Fire & Safety LLC. This role involves designing and developing sprinkler systems that prevent or aid fire, utilizing skills and knowledge to create efficient and effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing sprinkler systems for fire prevention and protection
- Conducting research and analysis to optimize system performance and effectiveness
- Collaborating with engineers and technicians to ensure seamless system integration
- Developing prototypes and testing structures to validate design concepts
- Installing and repairing systems as needed to maintain optimal performance
- Performing regular maintenance checks to ensure systems operate within safety standards
Requirements:
- Adhering to all relevant OSHA standards and regulations
- Submitting drawings for approval by local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ)
- Participating in regular development meetings to stay informed about industry developments and best practices
- Incorporating feedback into 3D model designs to refine system performance
- Running simulations and stress-tests on 3D models before prototyping to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Pursuing ongoing education and training in the field of fire safety and sprinkler systems
- Utilizing large databases of material property information to select optimal materials for modeling
Education and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software, with experience using HydraCAD software preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing CAD software for designing and developing technical solutions
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Fire Sprinkler Design, preferably with certifications in fire safety and related fields
Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on location and level of experience.
